BJJ–Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Fundamentals
This class is designed to develop a strong foundation on which the rest of your Jiu-Jitsu is built. The student learns the basics of takedowns, escapes, sweeps and dominant positioning in order to submit an opponent with arm-locks, leg-locks or chokes. These are the essential techniques one needs to defend themselves or do well in competition. Each class contains technical drilling as well as live sparring.
BJJ–Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Advanced
The emphasis of this class is building on an already strong foundation of techniques. More advanced techniques are taught with a focus on combative theory and drilling. Students will learn anything and everything beyond the foundation Curriculum to advance their techniques for personal and competitive gain.
In kickboxing, we blend the techniques of Muay Thai (from Thailand) and Western Boxing with some methods of American Kickboxing. This class incorporates all the aspects of striking including: focus pad &heavy bag drill, foot work and striking with the hands, feet, knees and elbows. There are NO Katas or Forms here, only the techniques you need to defend yourself on the street or in the ring or cage.
This class is very conditioning oriented, burning an average of 800 calories in the hour!
MMA–Mixed Martial Arts
Our Mixed Martial Arts class is an *Invite only* program, geared toward the hardcore student who is interested in competitive MMA fighting. We blend the essential elements of Wrestling, Judo, Muay Thai, Boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to be a successful Mixed Martial Arts competitor, or to have the greatest advantage possible in a street encounter. Students must have a good understanding of Striking, Throwing and Ground Fighting before even being considered to participate in this program, but once you get in, you ‘ll never want out!
